What does Karl find most rewarding about working in neurological rehab?

As a cancer survivor myself, I view life as an unpredictable blessing, which is why I feel deeply connected to working with people who have overcome significant challenges. I find inspiration in the resilience of patients navigating rehabilitation journeys, and witnessing their progress gives me a strong sense of purpose and fulfilment. Being able to support and positively influence someone’s recovery is incredibly rewarding to me.

I believe rehabilitation is most effective when built on compassion, trust, and collaboration. We are here to listen to your story, understand your individual needs, and work alongside you to create a personalised plan of action that helps you achieve your rehabilitation goals!

    Specialist areas

My clinical interests cover a broad range of neurological and MSK conditions. I particularly enjoy working with patients after a stroke and those living with Parkinson's, as well as developing my knowledge of the varied rehabilitation needs within FND. I also have an interest in the management of MSK shoulder conditions.

    A bit more about Kelly

I enjoy bringing my background in javelin coaching, strength and mobility training to help neurological and MSK patients improve many aspects of their long-term health and function.

I have a real passion for helping patients build their strength, mobility, balance and confidence, particularly with walking after a stroke, living with Parkinson's, and recovering from shoulder problems.

Most of all, I love continually developing my knowledge to provide the best evidence-based neurological rehab, taking the time to understand each patient's condition and working together to achieve meaningful goals.

I love all the Bridge4 staff. They are amazing, committed and hard-working. I look forward to my job each day, knowing I'll engage with so many lovely people who visit Bridge4, and I've made a lot of friends among our patients along the way.

    A fun fact about Clare

I have a piece of the old LCFC Filbert Street pitch in my Mum and Dad's garden, with a flag in it! I dug up a square at the end of the 1984 season and carried it home on the bus. The bus driver was angry, as there was a soil trail all over the upstairs of his bus 😁🫣

I've been here for 5 years and plan to retire from here in 7 years!
